My take on the Bears centric portion of the @The33rdTeamFB @justnfields interview with The St. Brown Bros.
He’s on a podcast with his teammate & an NFL brother who I’m sure they have a cool relationship with one another. Him going on the show is him having fun & granting his teammate an exclusive interview.
-They are getting the 1st official offseason interview with Fields and it’s a PODCAST…podcasts are meant to be fun, flowing, and allow the person interviewed to be themselves no judgement. That’s huge for their podcast and big of Justin Fields to grant it.
Of course we know folks are going to take things all the way left or all the way right no matter if they support Fields or don’t.
-He’s tired of the noise. He unfollowed the Bears and the NFL. He wanted a break. It’s been 3 off-seasons of “is he the guy” “what will the Bears do” chatter. (2022-2024)
Even if you feel he “knows what that will do” that’s not his problem. He didn’t do a full dramatic pull down & change his PFP & take the Bears out his bio like some of these NFL drama queens have in the past.
He’s doing what’s best for him and his mental state. Yes even the toughest pro players need a break from OUR social media & the national media BULL💩. He hasn’t been told yet & wants to know if he’s getting traded or staying…that would be nerve wrecking & make the most calm human being anxious…
-HOWEVER it’s not the reason he unfollowed them or the reason he said
“I want to know if I’m being trade or if I’m staying.”
I haven’t I seen ONE person point out that he ENDED that statement with the REAL reason WHY he wants to know ASAP…which has nothing to do with WHERE he will be playing…(if you have my apologies. I just haven’t seen it.)
He said it’s BECAUSE he likes to watch film/tape of what the offenses are doing which I see a lot of people leaving out of that quote.
There is a whole new OC & offensive staff, if he’s STAYING he wants to get a jumpstart on studying the playbook, working with the coaches, learning terminology, etc.
If they are trading him then every week that passes is one less week for him to get acclimated to his new team & system.
This was a great all around interview by the St. Brown Bros! They didn’t stick toolong on the drama around Fields & the Bears. They hit on it and kept rolling into other great, intriguing, and interesting topics through the entire show!
