This is a Ryan Poles appreciation blog…
Ryan poles went from 6 picks in his 1st draft (2022) and minimal cap space...
To trading the #1 pick in 2023 to Carolina for
DJ Moore
2023 #9 pick
2023 2nd rd pick (#61)
2024 1st (ended up #1 pick)
2025 2nd rd pick.
To being gifted the #1 pick and sitting in the 2024 NFL draft driver’s seat by trading the PREVIOUS #1 pick & BETTING Carolina would be WORSE! He HIT big time on that gamble!
Bears have 2 top 10 picks in 2024 and can go in multiple directions during this draft.
-Stay at #1 & #9 & trade Justin Fields for a late day 1 early day 2 pick. Imagine having 3 1st rd picks in 1 draft. 🤯
-Trade the #1 pick for a haul similar to 2023 or better. Back to back on ‘em would set them up for years premium of draft capital 🤯
-Trade back 2 times from the #1 pick and still have 2 top 10 picks 🤯
-Trade both the #1 pick & the #9 pick for multiple hauls to stockpile the future and still draft twice in the 1st rd with 1 still being in the top 10.🤯🤯🤯🤯
Ryan Poles is in position to draft 1 or 2 of the drafts generational talent s
-QB (Caleb Williams)
-WR (Marvin Harrison)
-TE (Brock Bowers)
While having another year of $80+ mil in cap space to add high end players on either side of the ball and/or extend players like Jaylon Johnson, Tevin Jenkins, & Mooney. 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hate him or love him even with the misses he’s had, Ryan Poles has been COOKIN' & can continue being a fixture in
“What will Ryan Poles and the Bears do with their top 10 pick”
conversations for another couple yrs if he decides to break #NFLTwitter with another bombshell trade this year!
I can’t remember the last time the Chicago Bears gave fans this much reason for OPTIMISM in a REBUILDING stage!
Gotta give the chef some love on what he’s cooking!
