NFL Draft is ALMOST Here

The Chicago Bears are just over 48 hours away from starting a NEW ERA of football featuring USC QB Caleb Williams. I cannot remember a more exciting time to be a Bears fan. This even eclipses the early 2000 Bears as far as the trajectory this team could take.

Today I wanted to briefly go over some of the different NFL Draft topics and update everyone on where things are just two days before the NFL Draft. I will cover all the hottest topics and provide some updated rankings, lets get right into it.

The first pick is a done deal. Caleb Williams will be a Chicago Bear, but then what happens at pick 9? I have put an insane amount of thought into this and as I am writing this up, I think the odds are heavily in favor of Ryan Poles adding to the DEFENSIVE LINE with his other first round pick. My reasons for this are two-fold. The first being the depth at other positions of need and our lack of picks. With only 3 picks to make after taking CW with the first pick, Poles has to be diligent here. When you look at our positions of need, DE, WR, OT, OC, DT, G. It becomes clear that WR is the DEEPEST position in this draft and waiting to take one in round 3 might not be a bad idea.

There is simply not enough depth to count on a difference maker at D-Line falling to pick 75. So if Matt Eberflus was serious about "Adding a 1-2 Punch to pair with Montez Sweat", that will have to be done EARLY in the draft. Eberflus made sure to point out that this player could be a defensive end OR an interior defensive lineman. Our head coach loves generating pressure up the middle via the interior lineman. Gervon Dexter and Zacch Pickens were added last year, but was that enough? We will find out Thursday night!!

However, I have spoke all along about the TALENT in this years WR class. Here are my top 30 ranked wideouts for the 2024 Draft, complete with measurables, RAS scores and more!

The chart really showcases just how DEEP this years class of wideouts really is. Next up I want to list my favorite players who could still be on the board at pick 75, our 3rd round selection.

Here are my favorites:

Brenden Rice WR USC

Kiran Amegadjie OT Yale

Brandon Dorlus DL Oregon

Braden Fiske DL Florida State

Adisa Isaac DE Penn State

Tez Walker WR North Carolina

Beaux Limmer C Arkansas

Tanor Bortolini C Wisconcin

Javon Baker WR UCF

Malachi Corley WR Western Kentucky Malik Washington WR Virginia

Mike Hall Jr DL Ohio State

Gabe Hall DL Baylor

There are plenty of others but here is a great group of guys to familiarize yourself with for our selection in Round 3 of the draft.
